John grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated with a degree in economics. After graduating, John moved to Minnesota and enrolled at William Mitchell College of Law.

With over 10 years of experience practicing criminal law in Minnesota, John has developed extensive legal expertise as a litigator in both criminal and civil settings. He has achieved not guilty verdicts in multiple criminal trials. In addition to his trial experience, John has successfully negotiated numerous plea deals, obtaining favorable results for clients in hundreds of criminal cases, ranging from traffic offenses to serious felony murder cases. His practice regularly includes handling assaults, drug charges, DWI/DUI cases, and a variety of other criminal offenses. John is licensed to practice law at both the state and federal levels in Minnesota State Court and the District of Minnesota.
