John grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he graduated with a degree in economics. Upon graduating, John moved to Minnesota and attended William Mitchell College of Law.

John has over 10 years of experience practing law in Minnesota. John has experience as a litigator in the criminal and civil setting. He's received not guilty verdicts in multiple criminal trials. Apart from his trial experience, John has successfully negotiated numerous plea deals and obtained great results for clients in hundreds of criminal cases, from traffic offenses to felony murder cases. John regularly handles assaults, drug charges, DWI/DUI cases and all other types of criminal offenses. John is licensed both at the state level and the federal level in Minnesota State Court and the District of Minnesota. 

Apart from litigating, John enjoys working with clients to understand their goals for the future and planning for their future with an estate plan. John has drafted estate planning options for many families and can also help answer questions about drafting the right documents for your situation. 

When he is not in the office, John enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. John enjoys golf in the summer and playing hockey in the winter.
